(More customer reviews)I bought this item last week (and it arrived in three business days thanks to casemate). I love it so far. It's not as thick as I thought it would be, it really doesn't add a whole lot of bulk to the phone. I previously bought a tpu case thinking "they say that's what truck bed liners are made of so it'll protect my phone enough to be the only case I buy"... I was wrong. It didn't feel like it would protect my phone like this casemate tough case does. The tpu case did not protect the protruding camera on my phone, this tough case does. The pink inside liner of this tough case goes all the way around the phone to cushion it if you do drop it and it's not a bright overwhelming pink like I thought it might be. It does makes the volume and power buttons easy to push as if it weren't even there. If you left the black cover off it would be slippery. The black hard cover was a bit difficult to put on over the pink, but it's worth the 3 minutes it took to make it nearly perfect. The case does come with a nice screen protector. Took me one try to put the screen protector on and it has no bubbles. I put it on next to a pot of boiling water so the steam would catch the dust. The screen protector is a little smaller than the screen, but it covers all the essential parts. Try it before you shell out the cash to buy a different one.
The front of the tough case comes off the phone like a quarter of an inch or so (i'm not good with measurements please check the item description it might be less or more. The point is that it is not flush with the phone's screen), so if you set your phone screen side down it won't actually be on the screen. The same is true of the back, the phone does not sit directly on the camera, it doesn't stick out from the phone as far as it does from the front, but it's far enough that it will stop the lens from getting scratched as quickly than if you had no case.
I gave this phone 4 out of 5 stars only because I have only dropped my phone on carpet since I got this case so I don't know how well it will protect my phone from say getting out of the car and dropping it on concrete.
Overall, it makes me feel like my phone is safe if I do drop it and it looks great! I've gotten so many compliments on how cute my phone is.
