I was looking for a hard case that wasn't "rubberized" so that it would be easy for him to get in and out of his pocket. Wasn't sure how slick this one would be because it has a "leather finish", but it's just fine. The leather finish is minimal and gives it a nice feel but doesn't prohibit him from sliding it in and out of his pocket easily.
