Because of the Sony W600 unique design, it is hard to find a case that protects the phone, yet still allows the usage of all the phone's functions. Most the cases I see for this phone consist of a compartment with a belt clip. You have to unsnap the lid and pull the phone out. These kinds of cases do not protect the phone when you are using it. Other cases have to be removed in order to swivel the phone open and reach the numbers.
This case by Krusell strikes the perfect balance between protection and usability. The leather is a strong, well-stitched design that fits the phone perfectly. What makes this case better is that is actually protects the screen. You see, this case is two pieces--one slides over the bottom half of the phone. The top half is held on with snaps. To swivel open the phone, all you have to do is unsnap the top piece and the top folds away so you can use the number keys. It is a fantastic design and become second nature. Especially because you know your screen is protected when the case is snapped together. And since you can use the phone without swiveling it open, you can keep the plastic on and protect the screen when you are using it against your ear. Krusell really did their homework when they designed this case.
In addition, there is plastic that covers the keys. The keys still work as if the plastic was not there--the advantage is that the keys are protected too, which is a good thing if you use this phone to play games.
The leather also has cut outs for the phone's speakers, plugs, infrared, and camera. It is also a nice design by Krusell to include a cover on the camera and flash, keeping those things safe at all times.
Krusell also includes a universal snap-on attachment that lets you add things like a belt clip and car holder. If you take these pieces off, the case does not make the phone that much thicker--it looks great with it on. And when you want to clip it to your belt, just add the attachment and you are ready to go!
The purpose of any case is to protect the phone and keep the screen safe. This is the only case I know that exists for this phone that does both. I looked at many others before choosing this one--I haven't taken it off since I got it.
