I have dropped my phone with this case several times, hard blown drops from high ground onto the rough road when I walked my dog. Surprisingly, the case did not crack open, instead it did its job - protect my phone. The rubbery surface protected the screen from direct blow/scratches and the back cushioned the impact. This is a life saver. The only thing that makes this case lose a star is because it scratches so easily. I was quite disappointed at first, but since it did its ultimate job-protect my phone, I am not bothered by the scratches now. Good buy!
