It has a belt clip on but for more protection which I was looking for when out hunting in the woods, it has a belt slip-on so the phone can't come off as with the clip. It also has a lock on close on the fold over top so the phone can't fall out if you bend over. Many times I have come close to loosing my phone because the clip-on unhooked when I got out of the car or off a couch. Now I can go hunting and fishing without worrying about my phone coming off,
