(More customer reviews)I purchased this for the LG Optimus V, which is the Virgin Mobile version of the Optimus S. Since Virgin shares the Sprint network, the phones share virtually identical form factors and I knew that accessories for the S would work with the V. I had tried a silicone cover a few weeks ago (made by a different company) and it was a really bad fit, so I approached this purchase with caution. Instead I'm very happy.
The case is made of nice, sturdy-feeling plastic and the blue finish is even lovelier than in the picture. It has a kind of pearlescent sheen and is a vivid, rich, deep electric blue. When I set my phone into the casing, the fit was perfect, wonderfully snug, and the top part of the case snapped into place very nicely. The overall effect and feel is sturdy and natural looking. Access to all of the buttons is unimpaired, and I can plug my charger and headphones in without any problems (the prior silicone case had gotten in the way of my ability to do that, so that was especially important to me). The added bulk isn't bad at all and ensures that, if the phone hits the ground, there's a buffer between the screen and hard pavement.
The only quibble I have with the case, at all, is the application of the color. The plastic itself is white, which you can see when you look at the inside of the casing. The blue is applied to its surface, and there are a few spots along the edges of the case where the application wasn't quite as deep as it should have been so there are a few pale lines where the casing pieces join. The manufacturer could solve this by letting the color application bleed into the inside of the case a little further, or simply applying the color to both the outside and inside evenly. I would have given the casing five stars if those little pale spots hadn't been there, but I'm still very happy with the overall effect.
